Hey guys I ended up going to the homelink website i followed there advice exactly, they even have a section for Canadian instructions, not sure why maybe it's cause we spell colour differently.
But anyways since it seemed a lot of people on here were having trouble with gates etc, i punched in the info on how they recommend programming for a gate - as a random default I chose an 2002 A6 as the model for instructions, but I am sure you will be able to navigate to find your vehicles.

Don't feel to bad, I can't get mine to work either.

But I am going to try it again
