Any Idea what that upgrade might have included?
Did he use a throttle body off of a newer car, different model etc?

Default Same issue for me....

Does your engine rev but you get no acceleration? Mine revs and almost acts like the brakes are being applied. I don't think it's an adaptive thing. I'm something of an aggressive driver but have to be careful doing something like a right turn on red if traffic is moderate because I don't have any confidence in it.

I'll try the reset scheme but doubt it will do anything for me.

Looks like we are not alone. My 2.7T hesitates a little from stop. Guess lots of Tiptronic owners have the same issue. Does not seem that big a deal to me, never had a problem gunning it and leaving others in my wake

I tried this technique on my A4 but it did not work. Then from another forum, it stated (again for a6/c6) to hold the throttle down (step two) for 30 seconds (not 5 seconds). I followed step 3 and 4, and heard a loud click. the hesitation disappeared. My a4 went into motion at 2400 RPM's instead of the little old lady's 3400 RPMS, a half a second likely turbo lag. Before the reset it took up to two seconds to get the car to move!

Default same here, the 5 second did not do the trick.

I'll try 30 seconds though and see if that works.

All of these are settable in the computer also. Had a tech do that once and it seemed to have no effect so I concluded it must be a part failure of some sort but a scan for error codes never shows any.

My newly acquired '07 A4 Avant 3.2 is experiencing the same hesitation off the line as described by a few members in this thread. When I depress the gas pedal there is a distinct lack of response for 1-2 seconds. I am not 'granny driving' nor am I looking to leave a patch of rubber on the road, just get rolling smoothly and decisively.

There are a some suggested fixes such as cleaning the throttle body and reseting the ECU using the key position and throttle. Did any of these approaches work effectively? Are there other suggestions?

Thanks!
