Default draining the coolant reservoir

I just noticed a leak in my coolant reservoir and had recenlty bpurchased a new one. It looks pretty easy to install but how would I go about draining the coolant from the oldreservoir? Should I just unscrew the old reservoir and then pull out one of the hoses and have it drain that way? Any suggestions would help. thanks
