Difference between A6 vs A6 S-Line (2004)
I would like to know the difference between the 2004 A6 2.7T S-Line vs. the normal 2.7T. I have search this question on Yahoo and Google and could not find anything information on it. The only thing I found was:
250hp vs. 265hp
Spoiler.....thats it
Is there anything else?

Do a search in this forum section on the S-line, but I think you hit the main points. That and the badging. It's not clear if there are any suspension or brake differences. From what has been discussed, if you chip the S-line it only goes to 318 hp, not 333 hp although it starts off 15 hp more than the stock A6. I think I also read somewhere that the S-line only came as a tiptronic.

I have a 2004 S-Line. Differences are:
more torque (280) more hp (265)
sport suspension
18inch wheels
spoiler
Tip transmission only
Available sport bucket seats (mine does not have that)
Handling is much more sporty than my dad's 2000 A6 2.7T. The S-line will do the 0-60 about 0.8 seconds faster than base 2.7T. So the differences are noticeable.

The differences in the power are due to factory ECU tuning. If you look at a dyno chart its tuned to the same specs as the s4 whereas the normal 2.7 is down tuned to provide a flatter torque curve at slightly lower RPM to give smoother acceleration.

Dose anyone know the 1/4 mile time of the A6? I have a 2004 S-line and I think I get beat by a lot of different cars on the road. I have stuff done to it, but no chip.
