dead spot and judders?
Hi all
I have a 2002 UK A6 Avant 2.5TDI.
I've got one of those niggling issues that is now starting to get to me. If feels like I have a dead spot or that the car is choking. Most noticeable cold at about 2000rpm. I can now feel it thru the chassis driving at 70 mph (or there abouts ;-)).
I had it in a garage but they found nothing. Also I've had the temp guage and the oil guage behave weirdly the temp guage would rise and fall but not get to 90 degrees. This has only happened the once though.
I've change the Air Mass Meter on the advice of a friend. Whilst this seems to have put a little zing in the cars step it hasn't stopped this judder/pausing.
I really don't want to take it to an Audi garage without some form of idea. Last time I did that I came away almost £400 lighter for a bonnet switch that was causing the alarm to go off (and that was a £15 item).
Any ideas gratefully received.
Regards and all
