CV boot replacement
Hi All,
I am spending my Thanksgiving Holiday replacing the CV boot on my 2002 Audi A6 Quattro(I Know ). I don't have a manual so I need some advices on which joint to take off and what to watchout for as far as the disassembly. Currently I have disassembled the wheel, disc, brake caliber. The next step is to unbolt the ball joints below the outer CV joint. Anyone have an assembley diagram of the CV boot would be greatly appreciated. I will try to post some pictures for future reference and the next brave soul who try to attempt this. I have replaced the CV boot on my previous 4-runner without any problem so hopefully this will be the same. Thanks in advance and happy turkey day.

RE: CV boot replacement
This topic has been posted several times. A previous research is always good, but here there is a write up: http://www.audiworld.com/tech/wheel.html

RE: CV boot replacement
Thanks Victo, I just got the 17mm Allen so I will give it a try first thing tomorrow. I had to pave a new driveway on the side of my house today. I hope/think the CV boot will be much easier than the driveway. Thanks again.

RE: CV boot replacement
I bought a whole new axle assembly from Raxxles. Great company, they shipped a brand new OEM quality axle, the tools to get out the axle, all new mounting hardware, and even supplies to clean up. It is really not to hard to change out the whole axle, took me about 45 minutes.
