#31
beng, did you see the shape of his joints... he hadn't checked in months. I baby my car and check everything out whenever I get a chance. Knowledge?!? We are talking about a CV-boot not anything special. Replace it quick or be the idiot who gets a new axle. BANG
EDIT: Oh and can you please not repost the same comment as the person infront of you. Shows you have a lack of knowledge and a quialty cv-boot? Are you stupid or do you just get the 50-60 dollar one at audi?

And then, when someone calls you on it, you rebuff them, resort to name calling ect.
Try to act like an adult. If this pisses you off I would be glad to meet some where for

The outer CV joint is held on the axle by a circlip, which is included in the CV joint kit. However, you need a tool to pop the circlip. So, if you did damage the outer CV joint, you can replace the outer joint and reuse the axle and inner CV joint. If the outer CV joint is not damaged, then you only need the boot kit. You can google "audi tool" to find the tool.
Also, the large axle bolt must be lossened and tightened with the wheels on the ground. You should get the Audi shop manual CD or search the forum for complete instructions.
