changing front rotors
I did a search through Stoney's links and couldn't find a DIY on changing the front rotors. I'm sure it's simple but wanted to make sure there isn't some hidden secret to replacing them.
If anyone has any experience on changing the front rotors on a 2.8 Quattro, please let me know how it went and what you did.
Thanks in advance, oh and I have a 98 2.8L.

RE: changing front rotors
I have a 2000 2.7 and I just changed the front rotors and pads. It wasn't too hard. The front calipers are held on with two 18mmbolts. OnceI got those off, I hung the caliper to the side. I had to spray some DW40 around the hub and let it set forthe rust tolet loose. I tapped it a few times with a hammer and it came right off. They say to never put used pads on a new rotor. I got some big washers and put themover a couple lug bolts tohold the new rotors in placeso that I could put the calipers andpads back in place and tighten them up.Good Luck.

Yeah it cake work on a 2.8L, the 2.7T is much harder with HP2 calipers.
Just un-bolt those two huge 18~22mm bolts swing that caliper out of the way and it should fall off if there isn't a small screw holding the rotor in place, if there is, take out the screw then it will fall off
