Center Dash Display
My 2001 A6 2.7T center dash display fades away when the outside air temp gets hot. @60°F the display is fine, @ 80°F it's completely blank. Between those temps it's spotty, one line here one there. Running the AC and cooling down the interior does not bring it back. What could cause this?

Seriously, just do a google search and you'll find a lot of info. It gets a little frustrating having to tell people the same thing day after day after day, when a simple google search can answer nearly all of your questions.
That being said, there is a problem with both the connection of the LCD ribbon and the dot matrix multiplexer chip on that ribbon. The only real fix is to get a new one. A few companies do this for you including ModuleMaster.com (where i got it done) and DNASpeedometers.com. It will cost around $150-200 depending on how you ship it (Mine was like $172).
