car wont accelerate
I dont know what is wrong with my car, please help! I got stuck in the snow a few days ago and I was steping on the gas hard to try to get out of the snow. Now I notice my car barely accelerate. it take almost 5 sec or more to get to 20mph and the rpm is around 2000 even though step on the gas really hard. on the freeway, i am having a hard time keeping my car above 60mph, it takes a lot of work to get it up to speed again. I have 2002 a6 2.7t. Anyone have any idea what's wrong with it, you thing i might have blown my turbo? any help is appreciated. thank

Doesn't sound like a blown turbo. Even with a blown turbo, you would still have the non-boosted acceleration that would get you and keep you way above 60. A blown boost hose would give you some interesting results similar to your description. But, I think you are a "lomp" mode and you need to get your codes scanned.
Good luck,
Bob

thank for the replies, after many days of trying to figure out what's wrong with my car, i am still clueless. I am praying that it is not the turbo, it doesnt have the heavy white smoke or the noise, the car sound the same as it was before. The only code I got from vagcom are these:
Address 01: Engine
Control Module Part Number: 4B0 907 551 AL
Component and/or Version: 2.7l V6/5VT G 0001
Software Coding: 06752
Work Shop Code: WSC 02325
Additional Info: WAULD64B72N022614 AUZ7Z0A1901657
3 Faults Found:
16725 - Camshaft Position Sensor (G40): Implausible Signal
P0341 - 35-00 - -
17755 - Camshaft Position Sensor 2 (G163) / Engine Speed Sensor (G28): Incor. Correl.
P1347 - 35-00 - -
17748 - Camshaft Position Sensor (G40) / Engine Speed Sensor (G28): Incor. Correlation
P1340 - 35-00 - -
Readiness: 0000 0000
I look up for the cost of turbo and they are around $2800, and i am trying to avoid that rout. so Bob, you think it could be the boost hose then?

Looks like the relationship between camshafts and crankshaft is not correct. Could be that your timing belt slipped. The fact that it still runs and you have no misfire codes means that no valves are bent...yet. Do you have a Bentley manual? Checking cam timing is quite easy. I wouldn't drive it until you check this!!

going uphill is a crawl, especially if i stopped at the hill. what am i looking for at the transmission mount? I changed the camshaft position sensor already, is there more than one of them, i change the one in the front. thank for the help.

There are 2 cam position sensors, the other is at the rear on the driver's side but the codes tell you they are fine, just signaling at the wrong time. The car is telling you that there is an implausible relationship between crankshaft and camshafts. The timing belt is the only thing that maintains that relationship and they are known to slip/fail. It is very easy to check the timing is still OK with minimal experience and a few tools. This will cost you nothing and may save you from grenading your engine if it is a problem with the timing belt.
