Car decelerates really fast
Hey guys, I'm having trouble with my 2.7T yet again... I noticed that recently my MPG has been going down the drain. When I hit around 70 and let go of the gas the car would decelerate really fast and go down to around 40 in like 5 seconds, the car barely coasts at all. And also it is a pain in the butt to get it up to speed, feels like Im towing something when Im on the gas. I have had troubles with the brake system before about half year ago, went to the dealer and had the power booster and vaccum replaced, that costed a good nickel . I think it might be a caliper dragging this time but since I don't have much experience with cars i can't really tell. If possible i dont really wana bring it back to the dealer again. Any advice would be appreciated Thanks
*minor update* Just scan the car with a obd, got a p0300 code? multiple cylinder misfires??? is that causing the fast deceleration

Drive somewhere where you can stop without using the brakes. (IE Try not to use your brakes (to keep them cool) and go up a hill.) Then let off the gas and coast to a stop. Put in park or shut off in a gear. Check your brake temps. DO NOT TOUCH but get close, or use a IR thermometer. If you have a hot brake, that one is dragging. Come back and tell us what you find.

Thanks for the advice guys. I jacked up the car and tried spinning the wheels the caliper seemed fine and followed up by coasting on a open road the brakes seems fine but im still losing alot of power at higher speeds. funny thing is it coasts fine around 20. Oh yeah I forgot to mention that I recently get a oil change and I suspect that the mechanic overfilled it... I drove about 200 miles (long commute to school) and notice that the oil was overflowing from the engine, I brought it bak to the guy and he gave me another oil change, turns out he overfilled it by a quart... could that be a cause??? also the car been blowing white smoke recently...

oil was coming out of the place where you fill the oil around the cap and a bit around the dipstick i think. drove about 200-300 miles -.-. i dont think it was blowing smoke b4, i noticed it after i jacked up the car to check the brakes and saw white/bluish smoke out the back... and it wasnt even that cold yesterday.
