can someone help me find some parts? A6 2001 4.2L
Hi, I need to buy some parts for my A6 2001 4.2L
I usually buy parts from this one online store but when I went to customer service to help source them, the guy asked for my VIN, which seemed odd and I don't like sharing any personal info anywhere online so I'm hoping you guys can help.
What's that part called for the white container where you pour in antifreeze? Mine has a leak
What's the part called that holds your wiper fluid?
I have the brake sensor light come onto my dash and as I understand it, it's some kind of cable that tells you when your brakes are worn out.
Any general help like what category should I browse to find these parts, is appreciated.
Thanks,
jcy

They are asking for your vin number to match your car up to the right inventory to reduce the number of wrong parts going out the door. This is a pretty common practice nowadays.
Check out ecstuning.com for your aftermarket / OEM needs for this car.
You're looking for a coolant expansion tank, a windshield washer fluid reservoir, and probably brake pads. The cable is embedded into the pads to warn you when the pads are getting worn and need to be changed.
