Then your best bet, possibly your only bet, is with the dealer and OEM.

Yeah, that's no problem I guess...I can get parts throught them, but I was hoping you guys could help out with part #'s, and procedure. and then I was going to decide whether or not to do it. I can't imagine any of these parts guys would have a clue as to what parts to order. thye have a tough time getting me the right oil filter!

Oh just have them do it. They took a couple of hours to put the unit into the trunk and make sure it was working properly. I agree, it should be a 15 minute job if the antenna and the wiring harness is there. BTW, what you will not get with the OEM unit (which is available with an aftermarket GPS) is real time traffic updates. As nice as the OEM system is that, and the poor interface are the biggest issues.

Nice aspects of the Navteq/Audi GPS

1. MMI integration between the two screens is cool
2. Voice prompting is well done...you can understand exactly when you need to turn.

Poor aspects
1. Entering destinations is far more annoying than a Garmin, mainly because the Garmin has the flexibility of a touch screen interface. The MMI i'face requires rotating the dial to line up each letter in the destination. With a Garmin you just type in the destination name.
