The shift lever in my A6 will not shift fully into the drive position or any lower forward gear. The actual lever, not the hydraulic function of the transmission. The brake interlock is functioning properly and allowing the lever to come out of the park position. Nothing appears to be jammed under the cover plate in the center console limiting the functionality of the lever. Any thoughts.

 

Sorry but I wasnt able to see a posted solution. Did you figure out what happened? I drove it 4 days ago and it was fine. Went thru carwash with underbody wash. parked it for 4 days at 20-30 F and no work today.
