Auto to Manual swap
OK so I just picked up a 2000 A6 2.7T Quattro but its got an Auto tranny in it, I want a stick and ive been reading and found some info on the swap in A4's and the crank isint the same so its better to sell and buy a manual BUT this in an A6 and more like the S4 from what im reading.
So before I try to sell or Trade my A6 for an A4 can this swap be done without swapping the crank? AND would I have to use the 6 speed trans from teh S4 or could I use the 5 speed trans? I know ill have to swap the rear diff as well and im gonna assume its like the a4 ill need the axles as well, and the pedals and shift box along with the clutch master and slave and all that. has anyone ACTUALLY done the swap?

No I have not personally done one, but many have. Here is a good source of a complete kit.
Audi A6 Allroad TIP To 6 Speed KIT Transmission: Audis4parts.com
Yes on the rear dif, front axles, pedals and etc. Clutch hydraulic runs off of your brake fluid.
