I always bought a set of Unorthodox Racing pullies for all my Hondas & Toyotas but I don't hear about too many European cars modding with them. Any of you planning on a set of pullies for your 2.7T motor?

IMHO, changing pulleys doesn't buy you much performance improvement in an A6. It may free up a few horses, but not enough to justify the cost. The 2.7T turbosrun off exhaust gas, so it is not affected by pulley changes.

Now, a supercharger is driven by the engine. There are lots of write-ups on changing pulleys for the Chrysler Crossfire SRT6, which has a 3.2l supercharged V6 (basically the Mercedes SLK320 engine custom built by AMG). This forces the supercharger to spin faster, packing more air/fuel into the engine. Analgous to this is chipping a turbo engine (like the 2.7T) to increase the boost.

Usually pully changes affect the speed of the water pump, alternator, and AC so it does not matter if the vehicle is tyrbo or non-turbo tha effect is the same - it saves a few HP.

But not enough to justify the expense unless your on thetrack all the time. You might do better by eating less and loosing a few pounds so the motor dosen't have to haul as much weight around. [:'(]
