Default Advice needed for 9.5 inch wheels on 2000 A6 2.7T

I have a 2000 A6 2.7T chipped, improved diverters, and ~1.5-2-inch lowered H&R sport suspension.

I searched the forum for "9.5" and found a handful of posts on the subject. However, nothing definitive.

The issue, naturally, is whether or not the wider tires will rub either the suspension or the wheel well rim.

I currently have AT Italia Spyder, 18x8.5 with a 35mm offset. This means that
[ul][*] 5.6" of rim width is on the interior, suspension side[*] 2.9" are on the exterior (wheel well rim) side[*] overall wheel diameter is 25.4"[/ul]
FWIW: The factory 16x7 has a 45mm offset giving 5.3 interior and 1.7 exterior.

I was wondering if Axis Penta 19x9.5s with a 40mm offset shod with 235x35 will work all the way around?
[ul][*] 6.3" interior rim; i.e., 0.7" further penetration into the wheel well/suspension than the 18x8.5 ET35s. This could be a problem.[*] 3.2" on the exterior side; i.e., 0.3" further out (wider) than the 18x8.5. This likely is not a problem.[*] overall wheel diameter is 25.5" (only 0.1" bigger than the 18x8.5)[/ul]
So, does anyone know of folks who have mounted 19x9.5" wheels and what the offsets were? And if there were any issues?

I know that 19x8.5 is probably safe... Just seeing if I could push the envelope with 9.5-inch wide tires

Thanks in advance!
