RE: Acoustic Parking Assist System (a.k.a. Parktronic!)
yea i would totally kill the speaker... or foam would actually be the best idea, cheers! but, i'm pretty sure its coming out of the symphony. The Audi service dept. said that it is programmed through the instrument cluster and that if someone really knew the electric work they could do it. He then implied that my car was too old to find anyone who would have that knowledge.
mustang, i'd really appreciate it if you let me know if i could vag it... i was thinking that might be the most probable solution.

Im back... same question, ONLY the parking assist has gotten even more irritating. I backed into something and broke one of the sensors. Now when i go into reverse there is a "looooooooong beep"
Has anyone discovered a way to completely disable the "parktronic"?

Parking assist system must have worked real good. (runs and hides.)
I remember using the VAG Com to read the sensors... isn't it a separate system with it's own controller? If so, you could just unplug it.
Sometime I might play with it, but I have other things to do. (I want to install a system like it into a few of my other cars.)
