does anyone know how to turn down the beeping volume of the parking assist??

or change it to something more pleasant!?

OR how to shut the F*&ker off? it's irritating; sounds as though im parking a fuking cargo van...

On the C6 it is done through the sound menu in the MMI. I don't know about the C5.

 

checked the manual nothing re: lowering the sound, shutting it off etc.

i googled it, checked the search... ironically, all i can find is people who want to install it. This forum is my last resort, anyone else had this problem? maybe i can just pull out a fuse or something?

yea, i called audi service... spent over a half hour on the phone, nothing... they say it's not possible!

anything is possible, maybe i can cut the wires or something.. ? ?

does anyone else have parktronic and actually like it? however, i hear the newer models have a button that you can press to shut off the sound...

 

i have that on my car. if i remember right, there's a way to use vagcom to change it in tone and volume (might even be able to shut it off, i don't know for sure). i'll see if i can find the procedure for you.
