limp mode
Ok..so I just came across the same problem w/limp mode. Also the ABS and traction control came on. PRND432 were flashing. Reverse still worked RPM tack didn't work. I own an Audi A6 4.2L 2001. First there is one thing everyone should know. The TCM is located at the passenger side bellow the foot covering rest. Also the Audi has a problem with flooding below that area.. Which people forget to mention. I guess it never rains where there from. Saw it on YouTube. So I checked it and sure enough the TCM was waterlogged. Mind you it rained 3 months earlier..so I removed the TCM sure enough it was corroded. So I dried it cleaned it with 96% alcohol let dry..so far so good. Haven't found a solution to resolve the flooding yet. Still working on it. Check that first is easy to do and good luck.. don't forget to unplug the battery before removing the TCM
