Default 98 a6 Running weird after timingbelt change

I have recently changed the timing belt with a kit from blau. When i first try to turn the car on, i have to crank the key for about 5-10 seconds. When i step on the gas it goes to 1.5k rpm and goes down.
I have only one code p1545 and my e-brake light always blinks when its down...
I have tried all of the throttle body adaption and none of them worked.
I cannot drive the car, if i do it stalls out within 20 secs.
I have a 1998 audi a6 qu.
Please Help, heres a video.

dunno

P1545 is a throttle body code. did you disconnect it when you did the timing belt? maybe you have bad contact or maybe you damaged something while you were in there.

The other possibility is that you are "off" on your timing when you put the new belt on. You have the 2.8 right? did you use the cam and crank locking tools? You might have to go back and recheck the timing.

good luck. let us know how it goes.

Yes I did use the tools and i also did break a vaccum line the black one on the right hand of the block but i did fixed it by putting just a slightly larger hose over it and clamping it.

Should I buy a vag com and do the throttle body adapation with that? I dont see the point of going to a dealer and spending 100 for them to see codes when i can just put 100 dollars more and keeping it. I also didnt remove the camshaft and the crankshaft because i forgot. So i guess i didnt throw off the timing ?

Start with a VAG-COM cable and read the codes. Then, strip the front of the car back down and recheck your work.

If my timing is off would it show me codes that its misfiring or the timing is off?
and if i put the belts on the wrong way would it become a problem?

The belt can't go on "the wrong way", only "off by a tooth" or more. Well, it can go on the wrong way but you wouldn't be this far if it was, so forget about that. "Off by a tooth" is more likely and should throw a cam shaft sensor error code.

Good lcuk,

Bob
