The climate control was working just fine one morning then later that day my wife thought I did something because it just wouldn't turn on. I went to check the car and saw that the outside temperature display was only showing - - - (dashes) and the climate control wouldn't turn on.

I have not been able to find any information on what might have caused this. Right now my thought is a blown fuse (hopefully) if its not does anyone have other ideas what this might be?

When stuff suddenly won't turn on, first chedck the fuse, then the relay. If these are okay, check the harness connections, finally the suspect would be the climate control head unit.

 

So it was a fuse, the guy before me must have added something to the car. There was a brass pin coming out from the fuse that a wire was connected too. :/ The whole fuse was melted! I'm surprised it lasted this long and nothing serious happened. I've had the car for two years with no signs that was there until it wouldn't turn on last week.
