honestly i probably won't know til i get up there and actually start into it. i want to make as much power as possible without having to do much else to the car, so that's my goal, so whatever it takes to do that.

Great! I can't wait to see what they can do to the 4.2 in person! I'll prolly end up going to Vast too.

I am convinced! Ok, so I have a 2001 A6 4.2 but don't know where to begin for this mod. How do I start to do what you did to you car with the ECU and TCU mods? I don't live anywhere near you guys but I have a great Audi mechanic that specializes in moding. What do I have to tell him to do this?

Help me go faster with more fun guys!

www.vastperformance.com click and E mail the tech section let them know you have a 4.2l and you are looking for chips and performance parts. This is the way to start

^^^---that, and then after you talk to them about it, they'll probably have you pull your ECU and TCU and ship them to them if you don't live anywhere close. that way they can work their magic and ship them back to you. then you plug them in, and you're done!

Deffinitly going to make you glad you did it. the car really turns into a more exciting version of what you have. The performance from the ECU is great as it is. Add the tip file and it is a new car all over again!

I have to say this reinvented the 4.2 for me. I have always loved the car but now it is fun I love driving it.
