357 miles to a tank sound good.
I never let my tank past half so I never really have known what I got. I decided to do three runs the first got me 330 miles to the tank.
The second tank I ran a can of BG44k through the tank at about half full, ran the seafoam trough the intake and did the smokescreen run, I got a EGR code and that was fixed, with an intake port cleaning and and EGR cleaning, and I installed an K&N panle filter.
The third tank got me 357 miles.
I always use 93 oct to so I wanted to know if this sounds about right and what everyone else gets. I filled up when the needle hit the first red line.

4.2 = 21 gallon tank give or take a few drops. Either way you slice it, your not going to be getting amazing MPG. I kept my foor out of it for one week to test the MPG and then the next week I drove more aggressive. The difference was about 35 miles to a tank...Blah..15-17 around town and 20-23 on the freeway...

i think the best way to measure how much miles per gallon u are getting is by doing this.
1. fill ur tank to full.
2. drive around until u drove for 100 miles.
3. fill the tank to full again.
4. record how many gallons u had to put back in to get full tank.
5. then just 100/x where x=# of gallons.
and if you are getting 357 miles to a tank, that's about 18.7 or something mpg.
i think our '96 2.8 quattro was rated to be 19/24 or 19/22

well, i just went through my first tank and i got right at 400 when the little gas light came on. i assume i probably had atleast another gallon and a half, so i was guess about 430 to the tank. It was about half on the highway and thats about 20 miles to the gallon. Not bad, but not hella great. Its high mileage, so I will do some tune up stuff and try again. [:'(]
