CPO -- good choice. There are a few horror stories from other owners who did not go that route on the forum (mine included).
It's a beautiful car, but the honeymoon phase usually ends If I were you I'd do some research on your local dealer to see what type of customer service you're going to receive. Or, if you're going to get it serviced somewhere else make sure you have an honest, reliable mechanic.

Thanks for the reply. Im still in the decision process. I love how the car drives. Are there any performance upgrades for the 3.2 C6 quattro?
Thanks

The only sure upgrade is to get the V8 car! Everything else is experimental. I see a lot of comments about improving performance on forums from new and future owners. In all the years I've done this, the only sure thing is to buy the car you want. Getting a lesser one and trying to make it more is an experiment in frustration and expense. These cars are too complex to make fundamental power improvements with reliability.

I am not familiar with the specs of that car but in general, you cannot add supercharging to an NA car because the compression will be too high..end of experiment. If you rebuild it with supercharger spec. compression, then you have all the tranny and ECU software and systems to completely redo so they all work with the new power band and input requirements, including resetting the timing and all the senbsor parameters. You had better be an automotive software engineer!. I have seen a few projects of this type get started but they seldom get finished.

Learn to love the 2.8, 3.0, and 3.2 cars for their comfort but "limited" power. They'll all cruise effortlessly at legal and illegal highway speeds. These are not cars that are easily modified, other than the turbo versions. Even messing with superchargers requires changing pulleys and tunes. Enjoy it for what it is. If you want power, look into the 4.2 or RS6 V10s. The difference in price will easily be eaten up by the mods you mentioned and aggravation getting them to work.
