2005 A6 button on end of wiper handle??

what is the rocker switch for on the end of the wiper handle? This item is not ballooned or described in my manual..

It is used to cycle through the different modes of the trip computer.

Thanks! headed me in the right direction; was not setup in the mmi. Would have helped if they stated the purpose in the manual under wiper controls!
