2003 A6 3.0 wagon, directional signals won't blink
Greetings- My very first problem with the wife's new A6. Is there a flasher unit (under the dash?) specific to just the directional signals? All of the marker lights work, the emergency flasher works, but to get the turn signals to work, I have to move the lever up and down (on and off). I also checked the fuses (and they're fine) , so I'm guessing that there must be another flasher module hiding somewhere? Could someone please point me to the location of the module or the number on the flasher unit? If you think that it's something else, I'd love to hear about it.Thanks very much, regards, Paul

Could someone please explain to me how this works??
I feel like an idiot replying to my own post, but when I checked back a while later to see if it (my post) had been replied to, I couldn't find it!!! Where is it??. I'm in the Audi A6 forum and I only see one other post that was made today (10/31/10). and I don't see my post. Is it because I am new here, do I get stuck on a back page or something??.I'm really puzzled. Thank you,Paul

The relay is behind the hazard button itself. http://forums.audiworld.com/showthread.php?p=17997086
As far as your post getting buried, it is a problem with the forums software that they haven't fixed yet. It is displaying all posts in alphabetical order instead of by their post date. To temporarily fix this, just click the (last post) column header to resort the page.

Thanks so very much, thought that I was loosing it!
And let me thank you a second time, you were right about the flasher unit also. I removed it, cleaned the contacts and the blinkers are working again.I just assumed that because the emergency flashers were still working , that there must be another flasher unit located somewhere else that controlled the blinkers. I'm still going down to the dealer's tomorrow to get a brand new one, can't take the chance of wifey having to drive with no blinkers ,she'd look like all the idiots that have working blinkers and just don't use them. That drives me nuts! Thanks again, regards, paul
