Default 2001 headlight

Hi, I managed to find a nice size pheasant a few weeks back... Only problem is it was with my car. Knocked the mounting tabs clear off the driver's side headlight. So now I need a new headlight. Any suggestions on where to find one? How do I know which one I need? Halogen? Xenon? I am not too experienced with these. I was also considering going this route if there isn't too much of a price difference between replacing the one for this set up... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-03...item2c51d96443

Any experience? Thanks!

Do you need just a bulb or an entire headlight assembly?

Entire assembly. The bulb works and the whole assembly is duct taped in (I was 200 miles from any alternatives).

I need the driver's side assembly. I don't know whether or not it's the HID. Any way to tell? I know that the lights are pretty bright, clear, and a little whiter than others. I tried looking through the option codes in the trunk to figure it out, but can't quite read all of the codes. Thanks!

Yeah I have a set of Halogens off of my 2001 2.8, I just took out when I upgraded to some Angel Eyes.

I do not have HID light but they should have a ballast to set up the voltage. No funny little box feeding the headlight bulbs would say no HID. I have also seen levels built into some HIDs... just can not remember if that was an Audi.

Non-HID will just have two 12v headlight bulbs (+turn signal) on each side.

You could post a pic...

I don't see a ballast (not that I'm 100% sure what one looks like), however I have a traditional looking light on the inside (nearest the grill) and a round, dome looking light on the outside (nearest the turn signal). I'm thinking it is probably the Halogen. Is this a correct assumption? Thanks for all of the help!

I bought a used light from ebay, but the lens is quite a bit more "cloudy" than my old one. The lens on the damaged light is still good, does anyone know how hard it would be to swap the lenses? Thanks!
