One last thing, how many quarts to get? Considering it was changed about 6000 miles ago.

And do I need the drain plug and seal washer?

This guy obliously has no clue because he's been paying somone $90 to change his oil when the max is around $50-60 for synthetic at the local quick change place.

He's even asking to be connected to an e-tailer when all he has to do is press a few keys on Google or Bing to get the info.

And he's saying that his local mechanic will change the oil and filter for FREE if he supplies the parts -- Hasn't he heard about labor costs? His mechanic won't stay in business very long if he keeps doing that.

What do you mean by hijacking the thread?

Everything I said was directly related to the subject!
1. If you really paid $90 for an oil change you got ripped off!
2. Why ask us to give you the name of an e-tailer for the oil when you can do your own search?
3. If you had said that your friend would change the oil for free I could understand your comment but you said that your local mechanic was going to do it for free.

Each of these comments referred to something you said in your origional post.

I hate to say it, but these motor oil/oil change related threads usually turn to crap...no matter what forum you're in.

LOL Your thread??

This is an open forum where discussion is encouraged.

You are illogical.. ie lack logic!

You are spending too much for an oil change, too lazy to do your own search, and now want to stop someone from posting in an open forum.

It make me wonder what you would do if you had a real problem! LOL
Almost missed it - you have a real problem and it isn't oil!

I have suffered greatly when I read this. Here is just a partial list of symptoms of what happened to me as a result of reading that devastating post of yours:

1)diarrhea
2)stomach cramps
3)nausea
4)throwing up
5)extreme anger
6)despondency
7)insomnia
8)feeling of abandonment
9)extreme helplessness
10)lying in bed unable to move
11)very slow typing

Threads needs to die now buddy, thanks for your input so far.

I don't care what others are saying about you -- there IS hope --

You've conquered the first step - admitting you have a problem.
Now you need to follow through with the remaining 11 and everything will be OK!
