Buddy of mine just got a 98 M3 e36 i believe. Im pretty confident it wont be a problem since i think his car has 240ish hp vs my 250 both 6spd.

 

I think he would take you stock vs stock :X I took my friends full exhaust / chipped / intake ect. vs my stage 3 which I cruuuushhhhhhhed him! Sadly we didn't race through the stages but off the line it was a joke how far I pulled away. Mid gear from 80-120 I had to let off a couple times to let the M3 get a little bit He didn't wat any of it after that haha I think it would be close from a stop stock vs stock. Mid gear he would pull the **** out of u

 

Different cars. Do all you want to the power of your turbo. Walk away from him in a straight line. As soon as you come to a curve, he has you. The E36 M3 is all about handling.

I know. I had one right before my Audi! I miss that car (except when it snows!!!!).

stock for stock he should take you. you may have 10 more hp. but, he weights ~700lbs less than you. i've driven one, it's a beautiful car.

 

M3 will win on straights and twisties.
Chip would help on straights

Total weight, weight distribution, suspension setup and brakes. The E36 M3 has the A6 covered in all these categories.

But, the A6 is a big commuter car, not a sports sedan. The M3 is a sports coupe or sedan. They are different vehicles designed and engineered for different purposes. The M3 will out run the A6, hands down. The M3 does NOT have the ride of the A6. It does not have to room of an A6. It does not have the wonderful Quattro AWD system that means I only need one car year round, not two.
