Oh... one more thing. I think the "bad mouthing" that you mension is mainly the against the 2.8 motor. This is a C5 "thing" where three motor are available. The 2.8 (later the 3.0), the 2.7T and the 4.2.

There is nothing wrong with the 2.8 motor. They are extremely reliable, 2nd in reliability next to the 4.2. They are just underpowered. But for an entry level AUDI it is still a good car and can be zippy if you make it so. That's why people dog it sometimes because most of us here are true enthusiasts and are all about the power, speed, etc. There is no shame in your game owning a 2.8 or 3.0 AUDI. Drive a 4.2 and you will end up buying it. The power and TQ is alike a drug. Just gotta have it. lol
