H-Haul will only rent, if you have the car wired to work with their trailer wiring system.

 

Thanks all for the tips, and especially for the PN for the wiring kit. No worries about renting, I own the trailer, recently purchased the car though, and U-Haul was the cheapest place I could find a hitch. I just hope it doesn't look like *** when it's all said and done.

 

There are other sources of similar converter products which are for cars with electronic computer controled systems. I only mentioned the U-Haul product because I have no place left for a trailer, so I have rent them from U-Haul. Also, I would need several different types and sizes of trailers depending on what I wanted to pull. They even have trailers for towing broken Audi home, but they want you to tow it with a truck. Their dolly is mostly good for towing two wheel drive cars.

 

I'm really curious how the uhaul one looks like on the car; it would be nice to be able to tow stuff with my car.

 

Buddy of mine had one installed under his Riviera to haul his PWC's.. All you could see was the square reciever...
