Audi A5 lane assist

Audi A5 lane assist
When I am driving on the highway with activated lane assist and release the steering wheel, the lane assist adjusts the steering up to a couple of times to stay within the lane. After that an audible sound is given together with the message the driver should take over the steering wheel. That's fine! What I don't understand is that when the lane assist no longer sees the lines it just indicates this with a yellow lane assist led, giving no audible sound or message that the lane assist is no longer operating. I really can't understand this. Isn't this a live threatening bug???? Suppose you rely on the system to quickly take a look at the backseat to check what the kids are doing. If the system then decides it can no longer see the lane it should give an audible warning, instead of giving you the impression it is still in control and subsequently crashing the car. Is there any way to get an audible warning when the system goes offline? If not this makes the system dangerous and completely useless...

My advise would be the call your local dealer or stop by if it's close enough and speak to a product specialist at the sales department who can walk you through the features of your vehicle.
I wasn't aware that the lane assist made steering corrections. It vibrated the steering wheel and gave audible warnings. I'm not sure where you are located.
