Is your tint legal?

RE: Is your tint legal?
DIY tint is garbage and won't last more than a year, two years tops. it's not very expensive to have it done professionally with a lifetime warranty...in the bay area it's around 200-250...out in the cuts (the midwest and central US) you can get it done for 150 bucks.

20% all around on my old car. Got pulled over and had to scrape the tint off the front windows, there's no limit on the back here. Biggest PITA ever! Took me like 4 hours to get it off and even longer to get all the little pieces of glue and stuff cleaned up. Sucked.

35% all around in cali and havent been pulled over since it was done. In my old car had 35% all aroudn (2 door car) and when i got pulled over i would roll down both windows so if they didnt see it when they pulled me over tehy dont see it now. As soon as u see the lights roll them down.

RE: Is your tint legal?
I can't decide what to do, I really wanna just do the pretty much pitch black tint and take off my legal one now, but I don't wanna get hassled since I live in a small town where cops have nothing to do. But then I don't want people to be able to see that I have a DVD player inside and what not, what do you guys say I should do?
I'm thinking buying a new DVD player if stolen is like 1 G + and getting a car retinted is only 150, so I'm leaning towards tints.
Thanks for your advice in advance.

i say go with your plan, and do the limo tints. for your reasons. the tints will help a bit but you also gotta be careful who you tell and all that paranoid crap. do you park your car outside at night?
