That blows. You should have had them tow it to another place and pay for their service. I would recommend doing the changes yourself. I just watched the jiffy lube scam video clip on here. Seems like shakedowns are common, do the changes yourself!

Sorry to hear that bro - it sounds like Ron White and his stand-up routine about getting his tires changed at Sears, and how the one wheel fell off when he left. If you haven't heard that, you should look it up - it's a good laugh and may make you feel a little better I'm glad it's finally taken care of though.

Sounds like a crazy adventure of oil change.
At least they sort of took responsibility of it and replaced the parts.

I take my car to the local Jiffy Lube to have the oil changed. The tech that works on my car (and two others) are friends I went to school with, and I supply the oil and filter. I'd do it myself, but I'm far too busy with my job. It's all about finding someone you trust, and actually making sure the work gets done. For the most part, though, those chains are horrible for any car...

First week I got my car I needed an oil change so I brought it over to NTB. They tell me they don't have the right filter in stock so it will be a few hours. I go pick it up and the total was $82 for a damn oil change! They even put the wrong filter on so ever since then I have been doing my own oil changes.
