Nice video. I was expecting a video of you showing off the car after having finished repairing it, but it was really cool to see it coming apart, as well as the Golf burning out. Your exhaust note was really nice too, I liked the way it sounded. No coffee can sound, not even really a throaty sound... more of a growl more than anything. Not a bad soundtrack either.
ETA: Not to pry or anything, but Tom, I just got to thinking... how do you afford all this stuff, especially on a college budget?

na jk, that little rebuild was really pushing the limit, I had to borrow $250 from my roomate. I work like mad during the summer, 60-80hr weeks landscaping, and luckily for me I dont hafta pay for college, books, food, or cell phone. I also go home and work every holiday and vacation. I applied for 5 jobs when this stupid thing broke and nowhere called back not even burger king[:@]
Its also much cheaper when u do everything yourself, and make many of ur own parts.
The exhaust note is not how it usually sounds, i have my new manifold on now, but it puts the turbo in a different spot so i have no downpipe, only a test pipe. This week I will be buulding a new downpipe

HAHAHHAHA.... just had a lightbulb light up above my head... why dont we say screw regular tech writeups and do them all like that.. LMFAO... so when somebody wants to know how to install a snub mount.. or do a timing belt.. they can watch a cool vid with an awesome sound track.. that would be so freaking sick!!!!!
