i hear what you are saying, but the tC is a DD/show car, its not really meant for performance, so losing a bit of light wasn't the biggest sacrifice for me

 

well, to each their own I guess, but I still hate people that put HID bulbs in the reflector housing..... It is dangerous/annoying to other drivers, and not to mention illegal.

 

There is not a single RSX with a factory projector housing; they are all reflectors. You CAN use an aftermarket HID kit with a reflector-style housing and achieve proper light dispersement you just need to make sure you use the proper bulb and install it with the correct orientation in the housing. I installed HIDs in my 2004 Civic Si and had no problems (reflectors).

Blue-colored halogen bulbs are dangerous. They are usually painted or have tinted glass (completely illegal) and can blow up inside of your headlight housing. Just spend the $100 (not my personal suggestion) to get the cheap vvme.com HID kit or do what I would suggest and go to www.xenondepot.com for the best of the best. All of them are still illegal.

As the kelvin color temperature goes up the light output decreases. All OEM HID systems use 4300k bulbs. The different colors you see are due to the housings and/or projectors used.
