silverstars are approximately 4100K, not 5000K. I have them in my foglights and I'm looking at the packaging right now.
you get what you pay for on ebay, keep that in mind. vvme.com hasn't worked for me for the past couple days either, which sucks because I want to buy a kit from them.[:@]

There is a big difference between HID 8000k and Color coordinated 8000k halogens. Get the HID, unless all you are looking for is a color look and no actual usage. Here is my post on upgrading to Visionbulbs Xeno-Match bulbs CLICK HERE that burn at 4200k

Just go to our site sponser, visionbulbs.com to get REAL HID lights.
The stupid xenonmatch halogen, ,silverstars and w/e may look like HIDS when looking at the car, but the light output isn't even close.
Get a real set of 6000kHIDS and ballasts from visionbulbs and you'll have a nice blue color and awesome visibility.

RE: xenons...pics /advice?
My roomate who has an RSX just got some HIDs, and I have no idea what temp or whatever they are, but they are a light blue, mostly white, and BRIGHT ENOUGH TO BURN HOLES IN ON COMMING TRAFFIC. for real though, anytime he drives at night, people pull over in front of him because of how ridiculous they are. Needless to say, I dont want this, so Im thinking about just the bulbs, no real HIDs.
Should I stick to my regular brights, and get 6000k bulbs on both fogs and regulars to get best blueishness and still safe amount of light?

He obviously doesn't have them aimed right or doesnt have projector headlights because HIDS aren't like this if you have them correct.
Non projector housings will just spray the light all around and blind people.

stock Audi HID is 4300k for a reason...... anything higher will be a blue color and higher thenthat will be a purple color. while the higher K might look nice, there is less light output and not beneficial to you. I can see why people want that blue/purple color, but anything more than 4300K is pointless. If you want 10000K you might as well not have HID, 8K is pushing it. I don't quite understand the love for high K HIDs
