+1 on less than 6000k - this is an extremely friendly DIY. The most difficult part is mounting the balast somewhere in the engine compartment. you can do it, its plug and play

any reason to get less than 6000k? I like the color of the 10000k, but if it's not a good idea, then I won't do it.

Which specific kit should I get? h1, h2? ect

The higher the number is the less bright it is and the more color it is. I just bought a set of 6000K lights. I will post a picture when I install them later this week. (once they get here!!!)

H7 kit - 4300k is stock - once you go over 6000k you start to loose light power and will appear dimmer(from the cabin) 6000+ is also a more annoying color for other motorist

i have the 8000k and at times i find it to be a bit too blue... now that i look back, i would have got the 6000k, but 8000k is not too blue, althoughim sure the 10000k would be.

Oh, almost forgot to ask. My car is certified by audi. Will replacing the headlights myself void the warranty?

by law they would have to prove that the failure resulted directly from the use of the aftermarket product. not you prove that it didn't. but if somthing did go wrong I don't know how much of a battle it would be. for them to fight it the failure would need to have somthing to do with the the headlight system.
