Was just about to say the same thing about the engine. ^ My internet is being poky right now so I didn't know if the pic just didn't load.

If it has adjustable coil overs then he might have it set high to have clearance for the 19's. I am pretty sure this car was on ebay a month or 2 ago.

 

The pics are really, really bad!

The price is a little high, for a salvage. Yea, you can register them, but you can't get a car loan for them, Insuring them is really tough.

Over all the car look Ok, at least all the parts seam to be there, but yea, some underhood shots would be nice. So wouldn't pics in focus, & don't shoot a BLACK CAR IN THE DARK!

 

Car doesn't look as clean as many of the ones being sold on Audiforums... kinda looks like its falling apart in my eyes[&:]

FYI my last car (1994 honda accord)was a theift recovery. I never had any problems registering (in OR)or insuring (Progressive Online). The only problem the car had was a small dent in the hood where they hit it to release the hood, and it had to be rekeyed.

So that alone isn't a reason to rule out a car. that said the rest of it sounds pretty fishy. If someone lived in the area and could check it out then maybe it would be nice for them...

Just for kicks I asked the seller for some pics of the engine bay and under carriage.

 

Theft Recovery, & Salvage title are not the same. Salvage, means it has something happen to it, that cost 75% or more of the total value of the car, & the insurance company paid out the owner of the car. Then at a Auction, some shop purchased the car, & rebuilt it. Due to the TOTAL LOSS & payout, most insurance companies will not touch it. Sometimes, you have to have a DMV do a safety check on the car, before they will let you register it.

 

It looks pretty rough actually. And yeah, for all the mods he's claiming under the hood no pics of the engine. I wouldn't pay $18k for that car on my best day.

 

The car is a salvage car. IMO and kbb's opinion, the car has no value........ the only way I would drive a salvage car, is if I was the one who crashed it and/or I did not plan to sell it.
