Is it worth buying a loaner car?

RE: Is it worth buying a loaner car?
I wouldn't have a problem buying it. A guy I know bought a car from a national rental chain and it's been fine. He saved a ton of money too. You know how rentals are beaten on.....
If the compression is within 10% you'll be fine, and make sure it has a full service history.

If it was ever loaned to me, I would suggest you skip it. Every rental/loaner car Ive ever driven I beat on it HARD because thats what they are meant for. I found out you dont need snow or ice to do dounuts in a Ford Taurus and that aChevy Blazer 4X4's capabilities arent what youd expect when driving over fences, curbs, trash cans, etc.(back in my evil high school days.) Oh and a Ford Focus starts to burn some oil when you keep the throtle wide open in neutral after about 10 minutes.
