Default windscreen mists up can't solve it, help!!!

My Audi a4 has a annoying problem, there is always a thin slighttly greasy film of condensation on my windscreen once it has reached operating temp. If the windscreen is fogged/misted up and I put it on demist it does the job well, but leaves a thin film of condensation. You can wipe it away but then it comes back. It is not to bad you can see through it ok but it is just really annoying. I have even put anti-mist liquidstuff on it and it still appears!!!
I have ruled out:

Heater Matrix - (I am not losing any coolant from the system)
Climate control settings - (tried everyone)

Help Me!!!!!!!!

no its not set for recirculation. If I set it on recirculation the windows mist up properly this is only a thin film of condensation which is annoying but I can see through it, at night it is much more annoying as it is more diffucult to see as other car headlights shine on the windscreen.

It sounds like you have a leak in the heating system possibly the heater matrix.

Carpets not wet, and I don't seem to be losing any coolant from the system, the level is not going down.I have monitored it over the last month or so.

Your heater core is on the way out, this mist is from leaking coolant. Its probably just a real small leak, it will get larger soon. Heater core is a bitch to get to, but it can be done.
