I have heard of some of the valve bodys in those things making noise when winding up

Nope, no delays when accelerating. Other than this annoying whine, the car rides like a dream.

Going in for service on Monday. Hopefully, they can figure out what it is. Curious why you asked about the CVT?

I work at a Audi dealership and i'm prettysure those have beenm some symptoms of the CVT trannys that we have done here
