Who has the advice on the rear diff seal?
I need to replace the rear differential seal on my B6 2003 1.8T. How do I do this? And is it worth it to do myself if dealer can replace it for $165 total.

I don't know if I want to do this now. Haven't had audi long enough to try something like this yet. Still learning the basics on it. And you need to get special tools. Might as well have dealer do it.

Rear diff. seals can be a little tricky. If you had access to a lift, I would say give it a shot. You do however need a seal driver specific to the rear diff. But even with the seal driver it would be very difficult without having your car on a lift with enough room to work. good luck
