Default Wheel fitment

So i went to the local wheel shop last night and bought a set of 18x8.5 rims. Offset is 35. My only worry is that it will be to wide for the car and stick out over the fenders. Does anyone have the same size rim and could help me out? Does it stick out of the car and look stupid?

i have 18x8.5. they look great. they fill up the width of the wheel well nicely. youre gonna want to lower it next because it will look like it sits up really high.

offset of 35 is fine with 18x8.5. Thats what I run.

I am running 18x8 with 225/40/18 and i am lowered almost 2in all the way around. I only get rubbing everyonce in a blue moon when i go over the right bump while i am turning, its not a prob what so ever though. Heres some pics (they look so much sexier in person though)

panda, i have hp design evos. i like em, and got a good price too. i still run the stock 16s with snow tires in the winter tho. and you could stagger your wheels and have wider ones in the back, correct? i think it would wreak havoc on the quattro system tho.
