whats faster? 1.8T or 2.8?
hey just wondering some stuff about the 1.8T is the 1.8T chipped faster than the 2.8? also after a chip what is the best way to gain power? how much does a fuel exhaust do down pope back. I want to know because i am thinking about selling my 2.8 to get a 1.8T i think it will fit better for what i want to do. i can buy parts instead of 1 supercharger. thanks any other advise would be appreciated.

1) Yeah
2) Bigger turbo and supporting mods.
3) A supercharged 2.8 would be a very fast, smooth alternative. No waiting for spool-up, just seamless power.
Obviously, the supercharger kit has a ceiling, whereas you can progress farther up the power chain on the 1.8T.

Well there comes a point with the 1.8t where if you don't start upgrading things are stuff is going to break. If i had a 2.8, i would do the same thing as i did with my 1.8t. Theres 4 important things i would do with the 2.8. 1. Supercharger 2. Strip the thing. 3.Light weigth wheels 4. Stage 3 cltuch. There are other essantials too, but those are the main ones. I may when i get some funds around hit a up a 2.8, that or im picking up a s4.(nogaro of course, stage 3)

RE: whats faster? 1.8T or 2.8?
speaking of chipping a 1.8t... is there a way to do that for around $100 - $200?? All I can find is like ECU reprogrammers that run for about $500. Doubling boost may be worth $500 to some people but not to me. So a cheaper alternative would be appreciated. Thanks.

Get a used chip. Might be cheaper, and they don't wear out, so yeah.
It doesn't sound like alot, but you can't duplicate it with just an MBC, and it's pretty much the best bang for buck mod there is. Compare a chip (500) for 50hp and 90lb-ft vs a k04 (2000 for 80hp and 110 ft-lbs) and a BT is even worse.
