For long term power if your going to be making any i would go with HKS or Blitz not GReedy. Blitz has a very nice sound i have 2 on my Supra they are very nice.

OK, I'll let you guys into some secrets of the Evo, since that is my old car and all...

First, that is a Greddy Type S BOV installed in the car currently. Some of the stock ones had a tendency to blow by or chatter at higher boost levels. Man of the owners of Greddy Type S' had a problem getting the tuning correct on the BOV and had removed one of the springs. This car still has both springs to help hold boost. (There was a MBC on the car for quite a while running 22PSI) The sounds you are hearing are coming out of the ARC Super Induction Box. Since the recirc kit is on the Greddy, it is dumping back into the intake tube and since the ARC is so open, you are hearing it through there. If you want to quiet it down, reinstall the stock airbox.

The turbo isn't running out of gas at 5000 RPM, the computer is opening the waste gate in order to keep the engine from generating too much power (Mitsu's way of saving you from yourself). If you want to keep it at 20+PSI all the way to 7000 RPM, I suggest a MBC (manual boost controller). The stock turbo will take you to about 24-25PSI before it runs out of steam.

If you are going to crank up the power, I would highly suggest replacing the stock clutch if you want to launch it. I was never really into launching the car so the stock clutch worked just fine for me.
