During my recent searches for quality mods at reasonable prices I have been doing alot of "weeding-out" of garbage.
First I felt that Neuspeed would be a good choice but after talking to some people and getting some feedback i realized that i was only leaning towrds Neuspeed b/c i used to own a Civic, and i recognized the name.As far as quality, Neuspeed left something to be desired.
I've been looking at chips and K04 turbo upgrades. APR and GIAC have been coming highly recommended and their chip prices, as well as HP increses seem pretty equal.However, the K04 turbo upgrade is about $5K from APR !!!!!- WOW
So this has sent me on a hunt for a more reasonable K04 upgrade, around the $2K range.

I have just been looking into AWE tuning. They make a K04 upgrade for , well right around 2g's. This is just the price range I am looking for, but its also the price range that Neuspeeds K04 kit goes for. So i did some investigating and on AWE's website I looked for authorized installers and found that the companys U.S. Headquarters is only about 2-3 miles from me (Willow Grove PA- Philly)!!! I made a quick call to their 800-number and confirmed that they were not only based out of Willow Grove, but also that they sold, and installed from this location, and they do!! If you're gonna get a quality installation and good service, where else but the National H.Q.?
I also noticed that they deal in GIAC chips and when u get the K04 upgrade, a GIAC chip is included.

So things are looking good so far, price is reasonable, location is convienent, I would expect the install and service to be superb....

BUT HOW IS THEIR REPUTATION? QUALITY? CRAP?

What is your opinion of AWE Tuning and the parts they put out? Are they quality or crap?

 

AWE is one of the best tuners in the Audi scene.

 

i heard good things about them and i love their center boost gauge looks nice

I love awe, there about 4hr away from me in state college. They have long waiting list for install though. Thats where my turbo and software come from.
