not sure what you mean by "normal ecodes". true e-codes are only available from valeo or bosch. i highly doubt the ebay "ecodes" have the same light output as the valeos. in fact it wouldn't surprise me if your stock two-piecers had better light output than the ebay ecodes. i like the black housings, i would sport em.

ecs's site takes a while to load sometimes, even for me and i've got a pretty fast cable connection. awe-tuning has valeo ecodes, and ecs also has them. i think ecs has the best price i've seen, but i believe the xenon housings are back ordered right now.

i think im gonna go for the halogen ones then install the H7 HID conversion. If i get the xenon ones i will still have to buy the bulbs and ballast and all that. If i do teh conversion my friend can get me teh kit for 200

I'm here, it's just I've already answered these questions for you. Yes you can retrofit xenon into halogen housings. I posted the link from oemhid and the audiworld tech section.

Xenon housings are just that, housings. They come with no bulbs or ballasts. They differ because of the focal point of the light. It is slightly different in a xenon capsule compared to a halogen bulb. Using a xenon housing will give you a crisper light output that will appear to be more focused. Halogen housings still work quit nice but they require a little more work. You will need a h7 to d2s adapter or you can fabricate your own out of a cut up h7 bulb.

I really can't answer specific questions about the two piece xenon or halogen housings as I've never even seen them in person. I don't know how to retrofit xenon into them. I'm sure it is very similar to REAL ECODES, but i'm not certain.

do u think i should wait for 1 piece one or buy the 2 piece ones. The reason for the halogen is i can get teh HID conversion kit for 200. Where can i find the bulbs and other stuff i would need for the xenon housings?
