Ive heard of the TC with turbos i heard there fast. Whenever i think about racing one i always check for the front mount intercoolers. They do have that right.

 

oh yeah, of course... the engine bay of my tC has this big empty hole in it that is jsut callign out "Turbo me!" haha and yeah dude, i've been in my buddies STi, and we went up against a scion with a front mount and he just walked on us.

 

Scion Tc's do have a lot of space under the hood... it actually kinda looks ugly... looks like a 1.6 engine inside a peterbuilt truck engine bay!

But as for Scion Tc's go... IMO i think their Girl Cars... around here thats all they drive

 

yeah stock tCs arent that fast but theres alot you can do to them for not too much money. and yeah they do have front mount intercoolers.

 

haha yeah, its actually kinda beneficial... there are a lot of good lookin girls driving them aroudn here too, great way to meet them too

and one thing ive noticed, even though i only have exaust, clutch, LWFW, and chip, on the freeway, 70 +, our cars can take wayy more cars than we can take on normal road speeds. im assuming its due to how our engines produce wayyy more torque than msot for their displacement and at much lower RPM's.

 

I thought some tC's come with superchargers?

 

yeah there is a TRD supercharger but its like $4,000 and only gives you llike 50hp, which is not realyl worth it, so many people go with a custome big turbo setup,

 

I notice you have an APR chip and are in Boulder. Are there any places in Boulder that will do the APR (or Tehnine or Unitronic) chip?

 

I've also always been wondering this about the tC.

I know the engine is about 2.0 (or is it 2.2?), but they're only putting out 160 HP.

Is there a chip/flash upgrade you can get or is that really the maximum output of HP?
